Creative Finds of the Week
This week’s theme?
Comfort meets creativity. It’s the perfect season for slowing down, pulling out your favorite supplies, and making something with love.
1. Fall-Themed Scrapbook Papers from Creative Fabrica
I stumbled across a digital pack of watercolor pumpkin and leaf patterns that instantly brought cozy fall vibes into my projects. These printable papers are perfect for journals, memory pages, or even DIY recipe cards. If you love blending seasonal warmth with creativity, this one’s a gem!

2. Dollar Tree Mini Wooden Crates (affiliate link)
Simple, affordable, and so versatile! I grabbed a few to use as tiny supply caddies for my daughter’s homeschool craft station. Add a bit of acrylic paint, label them with chalk markers, and you’ve got an adorable organization hack that actually makes clean-up fun.
3. “Cozy Cottage Candle” from Etsy
A small shop find that smells like cinnamon rolls and pine needles—basically, autumn in a jar. I’ve been lighting it during our morning homeschool sessions, and it turns our space into the coziest little corner of creativity.

This week’s project:

Pressed Leaf Bookmarks
We gathered fallen leaves from our afternoon walks and turned them into pretty laminated bookmarks.
It’s such a sweet way to preserve a memory and sneak in a mini science lesson.
Supplies Needed:
- Leaves (fresh or pressed)
- Wax paper or laminating sheets
- Construction paper or cardstock
- Hole punch & ribbon
Steps:
- Arrange your leaves between two sheets of wax paper or laminate them if you have a machine.
- Trim to bookmark size and back them with cardstock for sturdiness.
- Punch a hole at the top, add a ribbon, and voilà—a nature-inspired bookmark that makes reading time even more magical!
Bonus idea: write little affirmations like “Take a breath” or “You’re growing beautifully” on the back before laminating. It adds a tender, personal touch.
Community Connections
I’m in awe of how many moms are finding ways to blend creativity and connection into their days.
This week, one of our readers shared a photo of her daughter’s painted pinecone centerpiece- it looks straight out of a magazine!
I love how she used natural elements and a touch of gold paint to create something simple yet stunning.

Cozy Reflections
Between glue sticks and giggles, I’ve been reminded that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect- it just has to be joyful.
Sometimes the glitter spills, sometimes the ribbon frays, and sometimes our projects don’t turn out as planned.
But every moment we spend creating- especially alongside our children- is a memory stitched into the fabric of home.
What’s Coming Next Week
Next week, I’ll be sharing a collection of “5 Simple Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids and Moms”.
These projects will bring warmth to your home and keep little hands happily busy while the turkeys are in the oven.
There’ll also be a sneak peek of a new, free printable for my subscribers (hint: it involves Holiday recipes!).
